Conservativism is an ideology of greed that will always erode your freedom and success to the benefit of whoever is in power. You can't benefit from a movement where leaders only care about themselves. Danielle Smith is proof of this.

Conservativism is an existential threat to everyone, not just the oppressed. It will collapse society to feed those in power.

Surely the first lesson to any politician is: caution with matches and gasoline? #DanielleSmith thinks a referendum on separation will serve a political goal (i.e. ----> no new rival). Maybe a call to #DavidCameron about using referendums for political purposes? He held a #Brexit vote to squelch some malcontents in his party: how'd that turn out?

Amid turmoil over tariffs and the relationship with the United States, Canada is facing challenges from within. Conservative Danielle Smith, the premier of Alberta, says she will hold a referendum on provincial separation in 2026 if citizens gather the required signatures on a petition. While Smith says she isn't herself supportive of Albertan separation, her government last week introduced legislation making it easier for a referendum to happen.
