This week in #dnd:
The party fought and killed one of the biggest bars of the campaign. One from two player’s backstories who had been quietly plaguing the party for the last three years of game.

The fight was insane—everyone scraping through on the edge of a knife. A couple of bad rolls, and it could have been a TPK. But they made it. What an amazing session.

Now I ponder if I launch right into the next arc I’ve been foreshadowing or give some well-deserved downtime.

Potentially weird question: if you had to assign a #dnd alignment to the fear of spiders, what would you give it?

Just to clarify, I'm asking you to assign an alignment to the idea of creepy spiders in the abstract. I personally lean towards neutral because I don't find spiders scary until they are touching me, and I can't find jumping spiders scary at all. But I want to find out what other people think.

- D&D tonight!! There were fun puzzles and I got to fireball some creatures who may not have deserved it #dnd

- rescued a rolypoly popopod (isopod/wood louse for the uncool folks) from inside my work building! Took it outside and put it in some nice grass

- saw a turkey at work, it looked mighty tasty but I decided to let it be… until Thanksgiving!!!

We're looking for folks who want a queer group and culture, questioning folks and allies are welcome. we (personally!) will yeet bigots and assholes quickly, and work to keep them out in the first place.

Represented on the GM/mod team: transgender, nonbinary, lesbian, pansexual, autistic, ADHD, plural/DID, chronic pain (POTS, EDS). we don't have a non-white GM yet, but want to!

5e14/Free5e characters are also allowed, as well as homebrew and 3pp (within some reasonable setting constraints)

Currently we have 2 GMs and very much welcome forever GMs who want to play only, but also are recruiting GMs to share the work.

Sessions are run similar to westmarches, and we share one of those big perks which is that games aren't canceled when someone doesn't show up. If you like consistently playing without the constant scheduling issues, this is where to be. We post sign-ups and it's first-come, first-served.

Gameplay is online via discord voice with video encourage, no VTTs. Players are expected to manage their own character sheets, with a simple process for GMs to check them over.

Games are set in a custom multi-planar world that mashes classic and space fantasy (spelljammer-esque).
