I thought Monty was slowing down due to getting old, but it turns out that he is what the vet called an allergy dog. Now on a restricted diet, he is really re-energized. 
I'm having a hard time keeping up!

Artemis is the best dog ever
After we got jumped by a neighbor's 9 month old German Shepard "puppy", I got knocked into the thorny bushes putting myself between the two to make sure Artemis didnt bite out of reactivity or get bit by the other dog that had come racing out.
Back home, she saw or smelled tbe blood on my arms and legs and tried to clean me up. Then laid down right behind my chair as I finished work for the day.

We worked on our breathing and totally tuned out the chaos churning all around us. We listened to the quiet.
She says that love, kindness and compassion are the focus for these few moments.

I just got home from our early morning protest.
Five showed up to stand together at our county courthouse.
I met some nice people.
The rain was unexpected and not in the forecast.
My sign might be toast but I will dry it out and see.
I got home cold and wet and immediately started the coffee pot. Hopefully a warm cup will thaw my hands.
Summer and her pal stayed inside all cozy warm to play. They do love playing together.

These guys had a big urge to RUN through the woods! I hardly got any decent photos, they were mostly a blur of vague flying dog shapes among the trees.
From the flat Texan coast to the high Andes above 5000 m, Dyno was always happy and ready to climb.

The 27 dogs we’re receiving range in age from roughly 4 months to 7 years old and include Dachshunds, Beagles, Husky mixes, and more. Once they’re in our care, we’ll shower them with TLC and help their true personalities come out.
The #dogs will need to serve out their state mandated 48-hour quarantine and receive any necessary medical care before they will be ready to find new homes. Interested adopters are asked to monitor our socials for updates 
NEW: Our team is on the ground working with National Mill #Dog Rescue and Bissell Pet Foundation in moving more than 200 #dogs and #puppies to a new life. We’re helping get these pups ready to go to shelters and rescues all over the country, where they can find homes.
