David B. Himself<p><span>I don't like idolizing or even being a fan of famous people. Don't get me wrong; I love and am a fan of many works of art, and even some artists. However, I make a clear distinction between the art, the artist, and sometimes even the human being behind the artist.<br><br>That's why I have no issue whatsoever enjoying works of art created by people who are less than commendable, and I find cancel culture quite sad (to not use a less pleasant adjective).<br>People who are always eager to burn their former idols and their works at the stake because they did this or that bad thing, should learn more about literary and art theory and focus less on fandom, just saying. (you could start with Roland Barthes, for example)<br><br>That being said, the more I learn about Nick Cave beyond his music (I never paid much attention to him before a couple of years ago) the more I admire the man and am fascinated by him.<br><br></span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/art" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#art</a><span> </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/artists" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#artists</a><span> </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/NickCave" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#NickCave</a><span> </span><a href="https://firefish.city/tags/fandom" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#fandom</a></p>

BelovedDestiny<p>Oh shit, new profile time!</p> <p>Anyway, hey, just another person who's joining in the Fediverse fun. I've always wondered what could be the closest example to a Fediverse clone of Tumblr, so happy that we have Wafrn now (that name is fucking hilarious).</p> <p>Honestly, I'm more of a lurker than a poster, but I've been more social than I ever was on mainstream social media, so there's that. Feels less like I'm shouting into the void in these places.</p> <p>Likes? Games are my number 1 love, but I also like anime, anything fandom-related (fanfics feed me), learning Japanese (it's really relaxing, when I'm not bored with textbooks anyway), some outdoor activities (I REALLY wanna garden), and other stuff. </p> <p>I had to dedicate a section to music, as I truly love listening to EDM subgenres, mostly DnB, Jungle, (Kawaii) Future Bass, Acid, Breakcore, etc. but I also like relaxing music like Jazz and Bossa Nova. Also a Vocaloid lover, not super deep into like, knowing every Vocaloid, just like listening to the songs.</p> <p>Not sure what I'll post, maybe yap about fanfics I'm reading and stuff.</p><br> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/introduction" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#introduction</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/first%20post" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#first-post</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/anime" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#anime</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/games" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#games</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/Vocaloid" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Vocaloid</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/music" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#music</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/EDM" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#EDM</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/DnB" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#DnB</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/Japanese" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Japanese</a> <a class="hashtag" href="https://app.wafrn.net/dashboard/search/fandom" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#fandom</a>

👩‍🦯The Blind Fraggle<p>Has anyone ever written a nonfiction book about the history and culture of fandom, more specifically fanfiction? <a href="https://fandom.ink/tags/Fandom" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Fandom</span></a> <a href="https://fandom.ink/tags/fanfiction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fanfiction</span></a></p>
👩‍🦯The Blind Fraggle<p>I don't exactly fault people for it because excitement is excitement, and I'm sure I've done it a few times before, but it bothers me just very slightly in a weird way when people ask in a group dedicated to a certain book, movie or TV show, "is this thing good?"
