Fabrizio Musacchio<p>In this blog post, I share my recent experiences with <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/Bluesky" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Bluesky</span></a> as a platform for scientific exchange. I see both advantages and risks: <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/Bluesky" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Bluesky</span></a> offers new opportunities, but I also miss key aspects of <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/Mastodon" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Mastodon</span></a> that have grown important to me (<a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/privacy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>privacy</span></a>, <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/sustainability" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>sustainability</span></a>, <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/community" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>community</span></a>, <a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/opensource" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>opensource</span></a>). For now, I use both. In the post, I reflect on what each platform gets right (and wrong) for science.</p><p>🌍 <a href="https://www.fabriziomusacchio.com/blog/2025-07-23-mastodon_vs_bluesky/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">fabriziomusacchio.com/blog/202</span><span class="invisible">5-07-23-mastodon_vs_bluesky/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://sigmoid.social/tags/OpenScience" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>OpenScience</span></a></p>
