Journeys In Film<p>On this day in 1959, thousands of Tibetans, fearing an abduction attempt by China, surround the Dalai Lama's palace to prevent his removal. </p><p>The Cup, written and directed by Dzongsar Jamyang Khyentse Rinpoche, a Tibetan/Bhutanese lama, is a wonderfully joyful film that students love. It's a great way to introduce students to Tibet, Tibetan Buddhism and Tibetan refugees.
