Had the exquisite pleasure with @SarahSingsank of seeing Wayne Horvitz and Anthony Pirog play at Rhizome last night. An amazing 75 minute set of tight compositions and intimate improvisational conversations on the outer fringes of the music. An incredibly special night of music, and definitely the best show I've got to date this year.

The third night was top tier and goes to show that while they rarely disappoint, MMJ is a band that can flip the switch and find a next level when they want to. Dark psychedelic energy last night with a lot of extended moments.

Extra fun being quasi-VIP for the weekend & definitely took advantage. We ended up in a random crew that led to a lot of fun, too many laughs + shenanigans...

Delayed layover thoughts on OneBigHoliday/MMJ:

Of all the getaway weekends, OBH was always the most appealing because the lineups are always on point, the band rarely disappoints, and I always thought I could hang with the MMJ crowd for a weekend without irritation. Those points definitely held true this weekend.

The location was decent. Some people seemed down on it vs an all-inclusive resort, but I thought it worked. Very chill vibe, very easy, staff was excellent.
