So if you're into dark atmospheric progressive rock, have a Qobuz subscription and want to have a listening peek at IQ's current tour setlist - there you go:

It's based on the current average setlist as seen on setlist.fm/stats/average-setli

Maybe I can make it to their concert end of April. Would be appropriate and heavy 'bout time; after 20 years no see...

Currently starting to dive into their recent opus "Dominion", acquired just today from iq-gep.bandcamp.com/album/domi

I've been really impressed with Qobuz as a music streaming service.

Their recommendations are very, very different, and they promote a set list of albums of the week of some new and music I would never have found otherwise.

Also, they just launched their music commissions transparency here. They pay the most per stream compared to their competitors: community.qobuz.com/press-en/q

If you're thinking about switching from Spotify, but aren't ready to go full media ownership, I think it's a good next step.

Hey peeps, since many of us are here as an alternative to big corporations, if you also care about the people who make #music, reminder that spotify barely (doesnt) pay small musicians, but you have alternatives like qobuz.com which are transparent and pay per-stream.
Some small data: in the last year #distrokid collected 4.03€ from my album #streaming
#Spotify - 0.00€
#Youtube - 0.26€
#AppleMusic - 0.34€
#Qobuz - 3.09€
+some little money from other #streamingplatforms
Just thought of sharing

Signed up for a free trial on Qobuz last week, to see if it’s a good replacement for Spotify. Here are my impressions so far.

General stuff:
* Signup was fast and easy. They didn’t ask for a lot of info to sign up (good!), but they required a birthday (bad!).
* The web interface and iOS app are both fine. Not incredible UX, but functional.
* It’s quite bare bones, feature wise. That suits me well, but some people might miss an equalizer.

Gave #Qobuz a chance to woo me with its recommendations & gotta say, while it didn't exactly blow my mind like LastFM or Rdio, it's far & away better than Tidal, Spotify et al, which give me the feeling that they're trying to push whatever stuff they make the most money on, whether tenuously connected to my taste or not.

Maybe it will get better as it eavesdrops on my habits & anway recommendations isn't a killer feature for me, but it does reinforce my decision to switch 😁

I'm trying out Qobuz currently, and thought it'd be nice to have my old Spotify playlist backups from way back when I still had Spotify so I wrote a quick and dirty Python script to read the JSON and push it to Qobuz using minim, an API wrapper for various streaming services available in the cheese shop.

Works well enough, now listening to my old New Wave playlist.

Trying out #qobuz 🎵
Imported my playlists, including a playlist of my favorites songs.

Now I need to mark them as favorites, there are hundreds... and apparently there is no means to do that in bulk???

Anyone knows of a trick, or another #music app that would allow me to #favorite all my tracks?
