Is it a smart play on #Mastodon ?
Not sure if I should bridge my account to Bridgy from Bluesky, all opinions welcome and thank you in advance
You asked about bridging to Bluesky. I have done this and I think it's a good idea. Bluesky has a lot of users who post on interesting topics. I found a few I wanted to follow, so I bridged. You won't see most of the posts from Bluesky, only the ones that have bridged from their end and followed by someone here. Sometimes, though, you see an interesting post on Bluesky from someone who's not bridged, and then you can't reply to them.

Thanks I'm getting its not a new scam or something. I read the info page, it seems pretty strait forward
@Denny the message seems to be automated: when you reply to a bridge bluesky account, brid.gy sees your reply (like any other federated server would). If you don't use brid.gy they send you a message to inform you about their existence. More info here: https://fed.brid.gy/

@Denny yes. Is legit. Go ahead if you are open to crossover communication with BlueSky. I’ve done this to be more efficient with communication into both realms. YMMV.

On the translation stuff, I've just opted to use Google, it's and extra step outside the Fediverse but I'll live with it for now
