"On 17 June, hundreds of people attended protests outside arms factories complicit in the #US-#Israeli genocide in #Gaza. They went to Sheffield, Rochester, and Havant to call for an immediate arms embargo. This comes as one poll suggests over half of people in #Britain back such an embargo."

"Seattle police arrested one demonstrator after a crowd of dozens tried to push into the #Seattle Convention Center, where hundreds had gathered for #Microsoft Build. Several demonstrators were doused with pepper spray.
Demonstrators ultimately left the convention center at 1:30 p.m., returning to downtown Seattle’s Westlake Park where they had rallied earlier in the day."

Google attended the IT for IDF conference in 2023. Sounds like they were all set to attend in 2024, but pulled out last second.
I don't think that Google is about to divorce itself from the IDF, but there's clearly understanding that continuing to do business with the IDF is a bad look.
