This morning the phone app on my #Android #Pixel asked if I wanted to turn on scam detection. I was in the middle of dealing with a billion things, so I didn't read carefully enough and said yes. It brought me to the settings screen, which says, "Download the Android AI Core model to use this feature" and immediately started the download.
Wait, this is AI crap? No thank you.
But there's no way to stop the download and no way to turn off the feature until the download is finished.

Good: if you have a work task where you need to write rather dull official docs, just replace the most used word with "zombie apocalypse". It's way more fun and the task becomes less tedious.

Bad: forgetting to actually replace all occurrences of "zombie apocalypse" before handing it over to QM.

Found a nice quiet corner of the conference centre with beanbags to chill out in....aaaaand a very noisy Italian gentleman sits down next to me and proceeds to have a loud Teams call *sigh* #fml

I've managed to lose my wallet, which contains my payment cards and my driving license. Much swearing is ensuing, because in order to replace my lost driving license, I have to pay a £20 admin fee, which I can't do because I've lost my wallet and cancelled those cards, and it's 4 working days to get replacements.
Don't put all your eggs in one basket, they say, but we do it anyway... #FML

Work-emergency “dinner”

So, my therapist is ending her private practice at the end of March.

Because, of course, I get to find a new therapist in 2025.
