Continuing the Jolene 40th anniversary celebrations - although extended versions exist of all five of Strawberry Switchblade's UK singles, Jolene was the only one that actually had it on the 12".

40 years ago today, 2 September 1985, Strawberry Switchblade released their electro-pop, Hi-NRG-influenced cover of Dolly Parton's Jolene, augmented by Larry Adler's fabulous harmonica.
Despite considerable promotional push including a strawberry shaped picture disc, it failed to break the UK top 40. We'll be posting about it all this week.
"The Good, the Bad and the Ugly" is a theme composed by #EnnioMorricone. It first appeared in the 1966 film of the same name, and was included on the #filmSoundtrack as "#TheGoodTheBadAndTheUgly (main title)", with #BrunoNicolai conducting the orchestra. A #coverVersion by #HugoMontenegro in 1967 was a pop hit in both the US and the UK. It has since become one of the most iconic scores in film history.

Was sehe ich denn da auf Bandcamp?
Blixa Bargeld
Findet Ihr u.a. auf Bandcamp.
