Trying to find a way of making a Radial Array of Objects, and placing it on a surface.
So far, Geometry Nodes seem to suit me best.
1) make your spaceship, with slopy bits.
2) make the shape to array onto it
3) Make the rest of the owl!
Erm, i mean make geo Node structure on the item to add.
a) Make a Curve Circle, and Instance Item on Points.
b) Align Rotation to Vector (Normal)
c) plug stuff into Group Inputs

Reading Lumpley's bit on Simulationism and following links - Are there *any* #ttrpg schools of thought that emphasise GMs telling stories?

Because it is a required role with a set of responsibilities and if everyone keeps repeating that GMs are just there to pick up after the people who get to make the real creative decisions then why would anyone *ever* volunteer to GM?

Also, the auteur GM thing was encouraged by the industry so why are we still browbeating gamers about it 30 years later?

It turns out there's no fortune file I could find with #ttrpg quotes yet. In fact, most quotes you even can find that touch on ttrpgs are from Gary Gygax, and while he had some interesting ideas he also had a lot of garbage ones.

I feel like I need to put a file together with stuff that doesn't only cater to his particular brand of gaming.

Anyone think of any good aphorisms or quotes?

#pnpde #ttrpg crowd! Dreaming up a weird pirate campaign along the lines of Pirates of the Carribean, The Scar, Monkey Island i.e. Swashbuckling & Treasure Islands meets Hollywood-Voodoo and Elder Gods. What modules/adventures come to mind from the #osr world? I'd say Saltmarsh, Sea Queen Escapes, Isle of Dread and Moon Slaves of the Cannibal Kingdom. Any other recommendations?
