Let's process our resources IN CANADA rather than selling them raw!

Let's process the Tar/Oil Sands into bitumen using nuclear heat rather than burning the product to make more of it!

Let's refine that bitumen into high-value goods rather than burning them in cars!

Let's sell furniture, IKEA style, with our lumber rather than dealing with the US!

Let's make our economy as efficient as possible rather than buying to the obsessive, irrational dinosaur burning culture down south!

Let's build high-speed rail, using Canadian steel, made using Canadian electricity, to economically connect our cities, and let's leverage our knowledge workers to sell services free of US control to the world!

Let's expand out ports so we aren't reliant on excess capacity in US ports!

WE CAN DO THIS CANADA!

Typical #DougFord. I swear he's a shit at everything as #Trump.

The LCBO and Beer Store systems were working _perfectly_.. and making the province gobs of cash, AND reusing/diverting all that waste.

Already shuttered LCBO and TBS locations because of other retailers and now your recycling infra is hamstrung. Like how did noone see this coming its so _obvious_. Like running a casino into the ground how do you DO that?

John Lorinc really could have gone much further in this article:

1. No engineer in their right mind would recommend a tunnel beneath the 401. This is obviously coming from MBA wielding C-Suite morons in "leadership" roles in the companies that, unsolicited, came up with this plan, and who are merely after gouging the taxpayer.

2. Missed opportunity to remind everyone that the 2025 Provincial election was not scheduled but a politically motivated snap-election in the interests of grabbing power while people were distracted by Trump.

3. "Peculiar psychology" assumes that this is a bug, not a feature of the plans. Projects like this are about transferring public money to private hands!

Remember, #DougFord &most #Conservatives only do things that profit them personally!

Just like how Ford indemnified private care facilities devastated by COVID because they had fmr Con Premier Mike Harris on the board, Aecon also has Con's on the Board: Rod Phillips.

The #DougFord administration has had no real capital improvement/investment plan for the Province since at least 2019, instead relying on LOBBYISTS, who are only interested in profits, to give them ideas via an online portal where they can submit unsolicited plans to siphon away your tax dollars!

The #Conservative Doug Ford admin just wants power for powers sake, they don't have any intention of bettering the lives of Ontarian's!

Doug wants to spend billions of dollars to build a tunnel beneath the 401, already the widest highway in North America! If adding more lanes worked the 401 wouldn't be clogged!

Just because the US is economically burning we cannot let our leaders run amok!

Like Mike Harris before him, Doug Ford is inflicting damage on our province that will take multiple generations to fix! We still bear the scars of Harris! He must be stopped!

🇲🇽 🇨🇦 Two of Canada’s most senior ministers head to Mexico to discuss trade

"That relationship suffered in the past year, when Ontario Premier Doug Ford called on Canada to seek a unilateral trade deal with the United States – without Mexico – and accused the country of undercutting North American manufacturers."🙄 Ontario--WHY do you vote for this thug!

"The best way to protect yourself is really to wear a well-fitted mask — an N95 mask, for example (...). Take lots of breaks if you're outdoors, so get inside an area with fresh, clean air — a mall, a library, community centre — all those places are good places to basically bring in some fresh air into your lungs."

On hot days like this, Ontario's grid gets pushed to its limit. According to Electricity Maps, it's only about 69% carbon free right now. Not nice.

app.electricitymaps.com/zone/C

Our clean energy sources are so low right now because we stopped adding clean energy to our grid. Why is it so low? We burn a lot of gas right now to generate the power we need.

We wouldn't be in this situation if we'd continued, and we'd be taking advantage of the incredibly cheap price of solar right now too. Solar is cheaper than it's ever been, making solar projects THE cheapest to implement.

lazard.com/media/eijnqja3/laza

Ontario needs to pick up the pace adding clean energy to our grid. We have plans to build more nuclear, but those projects are expensive and they'll take a long time to complete.

We can act today, by building more solar, wind, and energy storage, and by working out deals to share power with our neighbouring provinces.

Let's do it!
