Just finished my embroidery project. It is part one of two pieces to go either side of a reticule and depicts one of the two trees of valinor from the universe of Tolkien.

I've used various shades of golden silk to try and capture the glister of the sun's light.

I've also attempted to copy the techniques used on the Bayeux tapestry as best I could.
